Gypsum Gel
To use nail gypsum gel (a textured, matte 3D sand-effect gel), prep your nails with a base coat, color, and matte or glossy top coat first. Use a fine nail art brush to paint raised 3D patterns, then cure under a UV/LED lamp for 30–60 seconds. Gypsum gel is non-wipe and needs no topcoat.
Step-by-Step Application:
-Prep and Base: Clean, trim, and shape nails. Apply a base coat and cure.
- Color and Topcoat: Apply your color gel layers and cure. Seal with a regular or matte topcoat and cure.
- Design: Dip a detail brush into the gypsum gel and draw your textured 3D patterns, sand effects, or abstract lines.
- Cure: Cure under a UV or LED lamp for 30 to 60 seconds.
- Finish: Do not wipe or apply a topcoat over most gypsum gels, as they dry with a specialized textured, matte finish.
No Topcoat Needed: Unlike standard gels, sealing gypsum gel with a topcoat ruins its unique matte, grainy, sand-like texture.
